How to make a return on Shein?

Have you ordered inventory from Shein? If yes, I believe it has some defects. Maybe the deficiencies are in quality or items have damages. If so, it is the right time to return your item and get your money back.

Here are the steps I followed when I had to return several items to Shein. Don’t worry. This process is VERY EASY. It didn’t take me more than 5 minutes to complete. 

• Step 1: Sign in to your Shein account and go to the My Orders tab.
• Step 2: Click the Return Item and choose the item you want to return.
• Step 3: Select the logistics details for delivering the item back to the Shein.
• Step 4: Print the returning label. Fasten the label to your package.
• Step 5: Visit a local post office or arrange delivery through the shipping method back to the Shein location. The logistics will also pick up the products from your pick-up address as well.

It is the exact method to send your item to the return address. Shein also offers a pick-up service. However, there are some limitations to the return of the products.

How long do you have to make a return?

Shein has implemented some limitations to make a return. Apart from adhering to the TOS, you have 15 days to return your item after the delivery date.

What kinds of things you can’t return?

That is an excellent question to ask. It is a common scenario to ask if you are making your first return. No wonders at all at this point. It is all because of items you can return. 

Unfortunately, Shein doesn’t accept every item you return. I learned that the hard way, so you don’t have to. Let me show you the different types of materials you CAN’T return to Shein.

• You can return only the undamaged or unused inventory. That’s why whenever the product arrives, open it and assess the quality to understand whether it is what you expect or not. 
• Some items can not be returned once purchased. These items include bodysuits, lingerie, jewelry, beauty products, underwear, event and party supplies, DIY supplies, pet supplies, and accessories.
• Suppose you have purchased and opened the cosmetic products; unfortunately, Shein doesn’t allow the return of broken hygiene seal cosmetic products.
• Some items have non-returnable marks. Moreover, free gifts are also non-refundable.
• Bundling promotion products, items with non-returnable, flash sales promotion, are also non-refundable or exchangeable. I tried returning two promotional products to Shein, but they just sent them back to me.
• Shein doesn’t return the items without letting them check. So, it is better to double-check your items and ensure it is not the non-Shein item.

Before returning the item to Shein, it is better to go through the product category and match it with the product policy from Shein. If they qualify for a return, go for it; otherwise, you don’t have many options.

Return methods & shipping cost

Return Methods:

There are two return methods to send your inventory back to the Shein.

• Postal Delivery
• Own Shipping Method

You can attach the label for the post office and visit the nearby post office to send the item back. 

You can choose your logistics company to ship the products in the second shipping option.

Shipping Cost:

Shipping is free for the 1st return on any Shein order, while you have to pay a fee of $7.99 on all the other returns.

Once you choose the post office, Shein will deduct the amount from your account accordingly.

If you want to return a package on Shein, two prime methods are there.

Method 1: Self sending Return

In the self-help return, you need to rely on the above process. Choose the item to return and arrange the delivery to the Shein address for the return of the product.

Method 2: Return by the Shein Customer service 

When it comes to returns by customer service, here are multiple steps to do the process.

Step 1: Contact customer service about the refund problem. Shein customer support will respond to your situation as soon as possible. In my case, they responded in just 2 days.

Step 2: After the response from the customer service, follow the further instructions from the customer team.

Step 3: Transport the package to a nearby post office for the return to the Shein.

• Process Time

Return Process time depends on multiple factors. For example, in the COVID-19 pandemic, processing and delivery became late. However, let me show you how long my returns process times were. 

• In a self-help return, there are seven days for processing and refund to your Shein wallet.
• In case of customer service return, there are five days of processing time and return refund the money to your Shein wallet.

• Deduction Fee

The fee for the second return is the shipping fee of $7.99. Shein will deduct this amount from your refund amount to your Shein wallet.
