Client Overview: The client is primarily involved in the wholesale business, specializing in products like ultra-fine fiber skin fabric, cleaning sponges, body wash cloths, and ultra-fine fiber dusting cloths. They discovered our services through a Google search.

Our sales manager, Tiven, established contact with the client, who then shared their product requirements with us:

Note: The natural hue of most sponges is brown, although many available in the market are yellow due to bleaching processes aimed at enhancing aesthetic appeal. This can, however, affect the sponge’s durability. For custom coloring, pigment must be integrated during the manufacturing phase, as it’s challenging to alter the color post-production.

Product Sourcing and Manufacturer Selection through Factory Audits

• By conducting inspections across three different factories, we identified a supplier whose quality and pricing meet our client’s needs. We arranged for a sample of the bath sponge with the dimensions 14cm x 12cm x 6cm to be produced for client review.

• Following negotiations on price with the client, they have agreed on a target price.

Order Confirmation from Indian Client via Email

The client confirmed their order and outlined the terms of our partnership via email as follows:

1. The order includes Bath Sponges and PVA Sponges, along with five other products sourced from “** Import and Export Co., Ltd.,” making a total of seven items to be inspected and shipped by Leelinesourcing upon readiness.
2. Payment terms are as follows: a commission of % will be applied to products sourced by us, and a % commission will be applied to orders from “ Import and Export Co., Ltd.” Any additional fees will be included in the Proforma Invoice (PI) and must be settled prior to shipment. Payment for the five products from “** Import and Export Co., Ltd.” will include the freight cost and will be made together with the payment for our products, after which we will forward the payment to “** Import and Export Co., Ltd.”
3. The client has their own freight forwarder for shipping arrangements. However, they are open to working with our forwarders if we offer more competitive pricing and services.

Client Specification Update and Sample Adjustments

• We’ve evaluated a sample from the highest quoting manufacturer, showcasing the dimensions of 14cm x 12cm x 6cm. The client has approved these dimensions, greenlighting the order process.

• Conversely, the sample from the most cost-effective manufacturer measured at 14.5cm x 12.5cm x 7cm, diverging from the client’s latest specifications and desired color. We’ve requested this supplier to make necessary adjustments to both size and color to match the approved sample.

Finalization of Bath Sponge Color After Repeated Proofing

The initial sample from the supplier failed to meet the client’s color requirements. After a second attempt at color matching, the revised sample has reached an acceptable color standard. We anticipate the pre-delivery sample to be finalized by November 2nd.

Completion of Baath Sponge Production

1. The main production run of the bath sponges is nearly complete, with drilling and piercing operations scheduled to conclude by November 10th. The inspection is set for November 11th.
2. Upon comparing the original sample with the pre-production sample, the client has confirmed satisfaction, allowing for the commencement of bulk production.

Quality Control Inspection at Manufacturer

Our quality control (QC) team visited the manufacturing facility for a thorough inspection of the goods. The inspection findings were as follows:

• Size Verification: Compliant

• Water Absorption Test: Passed

• Skin Wipe Test: No residue or flaking observed, indicating a pass

A notable issue identified was chip loss, which our QC personnel detected and requested immediate rectification by the supplier on-site.

The product packaging details are as follows: individual vacuum-sealed units, 300 pieces per carton, with each carton reinforced with protective corners, totaling 20 cartons.

Shipment

The logistics partner arranged the collection of goods from our warehouse, marking the conclusion of the order.

Order Overview:

1. The order process progressed relatively smoothly, with size and color as the primary areas of concern. Active collaboration with the manufacturing partner enabled us to meet the client’s specifications regarding cost, color, and quality.
2. The product involved a multi-stage production process, including dyeing, foaming, molding, perforating, and lanyard attachment. Our initial comparison of processes across three potential factories, with particular attention to the dyeing phase, proved our sourcing strategy to be effective.
