How Does Doba Work?

Here’s a quick run-through of using the Doba platform as a money-making machine.

Step 1: Finding products on the Doba marketplace

This is SUPER SIMPLE. 

From the Doba dashboard, you can navigate through millions of products and suppliers in 3 ways.

• Use the “search bar” tab to find products you are interested in. 
• You can also click on the “All products” menu to view hot products and featured brands to gain insight.
• Lastly, use “All categories” to view Doba’s project catalog. You’ll have access to a broad category of products, including Automotive, Industrial, Entertainment, etc.

Step 2: Create an Inventory List

Perfect! Now you are an inch closer to generating a 7-figure income. Let’s make an inventory list.

Once you’ve found a suitable item, click on it to view product details. These include;

• Images
• Condition
• Manufacturer
• Shipping costs, etc

Hit the ‘Add to Inventory List’ button adjacent to the product image to build your inventory.

Step 3: Export data

You can export all product data by downloading the list to a zip file that you can access offline or in a spreadsheet.

We recommend cross-checking your list once again before making the purchase (VERY IMPORTANT). 

Lastly, track your orders using the purchase order platform. You’ll see;

Warning: Sorry to break it to you, but don’t expect too much. There’s a lot of false hope out here. You’ve probably read many bloggers talking about how they made millions from Doba. If this is your motivation, you need to strategize. URGENTLY!

Just like any other platform, creating a profitable dropshipping business is challenging. It requires a lot of hard work, time, and energy.

I have generated 15 GRAND from the DOBA. And I make such profits by hunting the RIGHT ITEMS. It is a GREAT platform.

We’ll be brutally honest. Doba is worth the price, but it ain’t cheap.

Doba offers a 30-day free trial to all its members. That way, you get to test what you are getting before spending a dime. And the best part? No credit or bank account details are required!

Note: Any Doba member can access all features during the free trial. 

There’s also a free subscription available for cash-strapped individuals. The only drawback is that most high-value features aren’t available here.

The business plan package starts at US$ 39.99/month (billed annually).

Considering all the excellent features, you are getting, $479 per year isn’t a bad deal. The business plan includes;

It’s true. The prices are a bit scary. But that’s a sacrifice you make to scale your dropshipping company to the moon.

Is Doba worth my money? Yes, it is!

The enterprise is quite expensive, but you can consider the business plan (perfect for startups). It has more than enough juicy features you need for your online store.

Doba Review: Customer Support

Doba has excellent customer service. They HAVE resolved many problems for me. The good is their attention and hard working behavior to my problems!

But here’s the catch…

Customer support varies depending on your subscription.

The Free plan only gives access to Email Support. No chat or direct phone support. 

Business and Enterprise members enjoy all three customer support- email, phone, and chat.

They are also active on their social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter. 

Doba also provides API integration that lets you connect your eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) to a dropshipping supplier. This ensures your inventory is up to date and shipments are made on time. Thus, you never have to worry about stock-shortage or ANGRY customers. EVER. 

Lastly, and the most important (in our opinion) is the resource center. 

Starting an e-commerce store from scratch is REALLY frustrating. There are lots of mistakes new startups make. But not anymore!

Doba offers a resource center with complete business guides, whitepapers, articles, and blogs. You’ll learn how to find selling products, upsell, and achieve dropshipping success. No trial and error. EVER. Isn’t that great?

Doba Review: Dropshipping- No need to store or ship products

Doba is the most popular dropshipping platform with over 20 years of industry experience. To date, Doba has served over 600,000 stores worldwide. 

It’s great for established drop shippers due to custom data export (I’ll cover that in features). Doba is also perfect for first-time drop shippers BECAUSE of its simple UI design. 

It has an EXCELLENT BBB (Better Business Bureau) and is far from being a fake site.

The supplier is responsible for storing and shipping goods. That’s the beauty of dropshipping. You only focus on running your own business and collecting cash.

In the past, you’d have to start all over again.

Doba reports take away this nightmare. It automatically saves data that is readily available once you log in. Pretty cool, huh?

Doba compiles sales data that you can export to Shopify, WooCommerce, and more. This is a faster and more accurate approach than working with spreadsheets.The process saves time, allowing you to focus on other essential business operations. We’ll be brutally honest and give our thoughts if the rates are worth it.

Get this– Shipping costs are estimated at flat rates. That means prices will vary depending on your location. The further you are, the higher the costs (same as competitors).

If this makes you feel any better… many suppliers are offering free shipping. Which means you only pay wholesale prices. No HIDDEN CHARGES.

I have used FREE SHIPPING many times. Customers get me more REFERRALS and sales. That is FANTASTIC for my business.

Most of the products ship between 2-5 business days. Theoretically, if they stick to their words, customers will receive products between 5-15 days.

The only drawback is that Doba does NOT take responsibility for shipping errors. 

Inventory Operation

Inventory operation is BY FAR one of the coolest features Doba offers.

For starters, you get timely inventory alerts. 

Think of this as a bank alert (Low balance alert).

Doba notifies you when your inventory is low. It has prevented me from a stock shortage. There have been no BACKORDERS on my AMAZON STORE.

For example, imagine you sell a pair of sunglasses that run out quickly. You can ask Doba to send a notification once 3 pairs remain. Thus, you can decide to restock or remove them from your store.

Next is the bulk inventory export.

Manually recording inventory is DIFFICULT and wastes time. Arranging them systematically is also draining.

Doba is a life-changer since it AUTOMATES the whole process with a click of a button. You get a nice list showing the quantity and in-stock items in your store. 

The fact that you can bulk export the product to your eCommerce platform is a PLUS.

Doba members enjoy a series of tips, email newsletters, and relevant information regarding wholesale suppliers. These come in handy when choosing products and suppliers to work with.    

There’s a TON more that Doba offers.

Doba suppliers offer insane discounts from time to time. You can make CRAZY profits by buying products at a discount. Here’s how;

If product X’s wholesale prices range between $20-$25. During discounts, the prices drop to $14. If you sell it at $27… you’ve just made $13 instead of $2. Now imagine selling 100 pieces of the same product. That’s a WHOPPING $1300.

Elite Seller Report

Have you ever missed the black Friday season? Or your favorite brand’s flash sale? Then you’ll ABSOLUTELY love this feature. 

Elite seller report is more like Doba’s newsletter. It avails of the latest deals, trends, and discounts on the platform. So you can save more money while purchasing ONLY winning products.

They first compile a list of all products you want to sell. Your work is just to ensure everything in the inventory list is correct. Click the “Export” button to immediately send product information to your store.

WARNING: Product images and descriptions are from dropshipping suppliers. Thus, they are not the best quality. We recommend taking real-life quality photos and writing your own product descriptions.

What are the Pros & Cons of Doba?

We’ve basically covered all you need to know about Doba. Let’s quickly summarize its pros and cons.

Pros

The Doba site is easy to navigate: It doesn’t get any better than Doba’s user-friendly interface. Finding suppliers and products is VERY simple. Just use the advanced filter option and VOILA- accurate results in seconds. 

Customize inventory without complexity: I can quickly review, change, and export the inventory lists. Integration with my AMAZON store increases my ease for importing products.

Integration: Manually adding product details to your store is daunting. Doba solves this problem by automating the entire process. Now you have more time to find more customers and market your brand.

Cons

Pricing: Doba membership is not cheap. You will pay $479/year and still not get premium features.

Lengthy return process: The process is OPAQUE. They are relatively slow in responding to return claims. This act has contributed to a majority of negative feedback from their customers. 

Thousands of negative opinions: C’mon, Doba. It’s 2022, for crying out loud. How difficult is it to respond to all these negative reviews? It actually portrays them as a “red flag”. 

Drop shippers’ money-back guarantee is HARD to claim: It can take months to get your money. 

Ultimate Verdict

Phew, this was a long one! We hope we’ve answered all questions concerning Doba.  

Let’s end this review by saying this:

It’s true Doba is relatively expensive, and it’s true customer support is slow. But if you are just launching a drop shipping company, it’s 100% worth it.

So is it really a scam site?

No, it’s not. Doba gives you a 30-days free trial period. NO CREDIT CARD DETAILS are required during this period. If you don’t like their services, just cancel your subscription and you’re good. 

Our advice: If you want to quickly dropship products, sign up for Doba’s free trial. You’ll create and export a nice inventory list in no time. 

Doba Alternatives

Doba is a GREAT drop shipping company, in our opinion. But the prices are a bit scary. Or some features don’t appeal to you. 

However, it’s not the only dropshipping company out there, there are plenty of others that are perfect for you (even much better!)

Here are a few Doba alternatives if it’s too pricey for you.

AliDropship

I have been using ALIDROPSHIP for years. There is 99% on-time delivery. Even they ship Faster. Profits are quite HIGH.

AliDropship is the largest Doba competitor as of 2022. The two are both great, and it’s not fair to say that one is better than the other.  

Alidropship is an all-in-one dropshipping workshop. You get access to:

• Unlimited themes for your store 
• Plugins, 
• Chrome extensions, and more. 

You can also purchase products from AliDropship premium products.

AliDropship offers more than just basic dropshipping services. Unlike other dropshipping companies, they want to see you grow. Thus, offer services such as social media setup assistance, SEO copywriting, etc. This will help you avoid costly mistakes while expanding your online business. 

Salehoo

Salehoo is the best alternative to Doba, especially for cash-strapped entrepreneurs. Prices start as low as $27/month (billed annually). It’s an EXCELLENT eCommerce platform, but we wouldn’t recommend it for PRO drop shippers. Many suppliers charge higher prices for drop shippers, so profit margins are lower.

However, it has a market research lab that’s a huge plus. The lab shows you winning products; you don’t have to stock slow-moving goods. 

I propose SaleHoo to the beginners. It is because of GOOD QUALITY products and develop the customer base with it.
