Understanding of Quality Management

Understanding of Quality Management

In eCommerce, the Quality management system is 100% ESSENTIAL.

Want to make a sale?

Sell quality. Get some PERMANENT customers. And ensure quality.

There are THREE FUNDAMENTAL definitions.

Quality Management

Quality management is the PROCESS of providing quality. It can be either a PRODUCT or software.

It comprises multiple steps. These are:

  • Inspection teams ensure product quality.
  • Software testing occurs to detect QUALITY PROBLEMS
  • Inspectors implement QC processes to obtain the required software quality.

In these, QC and QA are essential. Let’s know what they are.

QA

QA refers to the Quality assurances by the SUPPLIERS or inspection teams.

It is like the OUTLINE of the whole process to check quality. From A to Z, a TRAINED inspector helps evaluate the QUALITY.

In the QA system, process improvement and errors sort out. A feedback system helps in the continuous improvement of a SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

Why are Quality Assurance and Quality Control essential?

Why are Quality Assurance and Quality Control essential

Quality assurance and quality control offer the BEST way to manage online stores.

For example:

You launched a BRAND to sell electronics. Without quality, you’ll fail in the FIRST STAGE of business. Want success? Apply QC and QA.

Here are multiple reasons to choose QC and QA.

Higher Profits

I have just made my 100th SALE on my store. My profit was 30% per sale. That means I make 30 USD per 100 USD sale. Isn’t it astonishing?

All this is possible due to a QUALITY system.

The QA process reduces the HEADACHE. Decreases the PRODUCTION COSTS. And allows me to buy products at much lower prices.

What else do I need other than this?

Lesser risks with Brand Protection

Quality is the SHIELD for your brand. Statistical process CONTROL can make your brand more EFFECTIVE.

Ten satisfied consumers bring 110 MORE CUSTOMERS.

My brand started lifting to the SKY. How did this happen? All due to QUALITY. Nine out of ten customers became permanent.

You get that SORT of progress in no time.

Customers Are Happy!

I asked the CUSTOMER what they liked the MOST.

Customers answered two things.

  • Quality
  • Price

And as per surveys, one HAPPY customer brings 11 more.

So, I try to PROVIDE the BEST QUALITY to manage my store. It keeps CUSTOMERS returning to my empire.

According to a SURVEY:

“73% of consumers believe Quality can AFFECT customer satisfaction. It decreases sales DIRECTLY.”

The Differences Between Quality Assurance and Quality Control

The Differences Between Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Quality ASSURANCE shares some COMMON features with Quality control.

What should we discuss first?

I guess the DIFFERENCES. Why? It is ESSENTIAL to know both QA and QC are different. And how they are different.

Let’s check the differences between the QA and QC.

Proactive or Reactive Process

Proactive or Reactive defines the NATURE of the QA and QC. For example, QA is proactive, while QC is reactive.

Want to know in detail?

QA aims to provide quality. The production process hasn’t STARTED yet. The manufacturer guarantees the HIGH QUALITY of raw materials. And assures you get PERFECT products.

QC aims to APPLY the QUALITY PROCESS. For example, you want 100 PIECES of QUALITY socks. The QC involves verification of the QUALITY. Check the raw material. And achieve the CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS.

And my opinion.

Don’t confuse things like me. QA is just the ASSURANCE. And QC implements and provides the quality.

Process or Product

I used to think of QA as product-oriented, and QC as a process. And you know, I was 100% wrong. Things are the opposite.

Quality assurance is process-oriented. It just comprises the PROCESSES that assure quality.

For example:

I ordered 20 T-shirts. My supplier provided the FLOWSHEET. Ensure I will get quality. And showed how the audits and management occurs.

Quality control focuses on the product. It is the process of inspection and checkup.

For example:

I hired an INSPECTION team. The team checks the products. The inspectors provide the REQUIRED AQL.

System or Parts

Guess QA is the system or part? I stand with the SYSTEM.

And QA is a system to assure quality. It involves the training of inspectors. Supplier management. And investigation processes.

In contrast, QC measures the QUALITY of the end product. It implements and MEASURES the parts of a product. It is less likely to be CONCERNED with the system.

Creation or Verification

Quality assurance QA differs from the QUALITY CONTROL QC in creation.

Let’s check how it works.

Quality assurance QA defines STANDARDS for the quality journey. QA activities include the ROADMAP to provide QUALITY STANDARDS.

Statistical Quality control is a PROCESS to apply quality activities. The concept of QA and QC is different here.

How do I see both QA and QC?

QA and QC are two parts of a PUZZLE. Whenever I order a product, I get QUALITY ASSURANCE from the supplier. And hire a team to INSPECT products.

The Similarities Between Quality Assurance and Quality Control

The Similarities Between Quality Assurance and Quality Control

You have seen one FACE of the QUALITY process. Why not visit the other?

Want to check?

Here are the parallels between QA and QC.

Ensuring high-quality products

Both processes aim to deliver QUALITY products.

  • They identify defects.
  • Define what processes to cover and carry out.
  • Devise a Quality Management Plan
  • Implement standard operating procedures.

My experience.

Once I got a chance to check the process. The whole process is like a piece of cake. But it is VALID when you have the ROADMAP to prevent defects.

Reduce defect problems and costs

Defects cost HIGHER prices.

Let me give a RECENT example. I shipped a SNEAKER to my customers. And the sneaker’s QUALITY was not up to mark. In a single week, I lost 20% of my customers.

Quality reduces the DEFECTS. Makes more satisfied customers. And drives more sales by PROVIDING confidence.

QA works with QC to achieve QUALITY results and decrease costs.

Improvement in Quality management systems

Process variation is COMMON.

I hired two QUALITY  TEAMS. My first inspection team worked DIFFERENTLY. Even they applied processes different from my second hiring. But the OUTPUT was 100% EFFECTIVE.

The result of QC and QA is the same. It assists companies in QUALITY processes.
